On Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe discovered a very long, hard, and demanding job. What is this Job? It is Milking Spiders! That's right, Milking Spiders!!! Mike soon found out what kind of job it was. It demands a lot on a working class person, in fact it requires 7 days a week to complete the task of capturing spiders and milking them. It a hard and strenuous job that requires extreme patience while actually milking the spiders.

One of the most common spiders that are captured for milk is the Black Widow spider because of its poison has a narcotic reaction. Milking the spiders takes a lot of patience to complete the task. Spider milk is beneficial to humans as it can be used to cure diabetes. Now, before the spiders are ready to be milked they have to be fed their supper which consists of homegrown maggots. After they eat the maggots, they are now ready to produce the venom to make the milk. It is very difficult to milk the spiders as a microscope is needed to see the fangs that extracts the milk from the spiders. After the spider has produced the milk it can stay fresh up to 30 days later.
